
Lauren is an experienced massage therapist specializing in therapeutic deep tissue and perinatal care in Walnut Creek. As a registered yoga instructor and long time runner, her massage style is rooted in functional anatomy, intuitive flow and the mind-body-heart connection. She uses techniques such as myofascial release, trigger point therapy and assisted stretching to support soft tissue rehabilitation, performance enhancement and preventative care. Lauren offers a holistic approach, inviting clients to explore how their emotional health, nutrition, and physical wellness are all connected. She views each session as an opportunity for you to cultivate a deeper connection to your body and she is passionate about empowering people to take ownership over their own wellness. She is continually inspired and motivated by the profound impact that healing touch can have on one's health and overall quality of life. Lauren graduated from the core program at the National Holistic Institute in 2021 and has stayed connected to the campus community volunteering as a teaching assistant. She is trained to support medically fragile individuals through the Heart Touch Program and has also completed continuing education in Usui Holy Fire Reiki, CranioSacral Unwinding, pre-natal massage and full spectrum birthwork. She is currently enrolled in the Somatic Experiencing International program and is honored to offer a deeper level of trauma informed care to her massage practice.

Sports massage encompasses many modalities such as Swedish, deep tissue, and neuromuscular techniques, and the appropriate technique is selected based on the client’s training, competition, and recovery schedules. For example, if you are competing the day after your appointment, aggressive deep tissue work may hinder your performance by inducing inflammation. In such cases, medium-pressure circulatory work would be a better choice for preparation.
